The Coopérative d’Intégration Francophone de l’Î.-P.-É. (CIF) is pleased to introduce Quentin Altamura, a new volunteer who will be doing his year of civic service in our organization. We welcomed Quentin as our new communications assistant on April 24, 2017.
The CIF is happy to invite young volunteers from French-speaking countries to take part in its activities on the island through civic service. This approach facilitates a new cultural and intellectual exchange that gives the CIF a genuine advantage in welcoming new arrivals and showcasing Francophone culture in the various events it organizes throughout the year.
The CIF will be guiding Quentin in his endeavours in P.E.I. so he can be fully involved in implementing new activities. He will also have an opportunity to discover the island by working at the CIF offices in Summerside, Charlottetown and Wellington.
Quentin will help develop new promotional activities for Francophones and Francophiles in the province, whether new arrivals or native islanders.
Quentin, who is 24, enjoys discovering new cultures and listening to Acadian and world music. He also enjoys the theatre, art and history. After studying art history and archeology at the University of Burgundy in Dijon, France, Quentin left his native Burgundy for Prince Edward Island. Here, he hopes to discover a new art of living and to deepen his knowledge while being involved in the local community through the CIF.
