CHARLOTTETOWN – Aug. 7, 2014 – All employers wishing to learn more about international recruiting are invited to one of two free lunch-and-learns with representatives of the Canadian Embassy from Paris and Dakar being organized in September.
This event is particularly aimed at those who are or who soon will be looking for skilled, bilingual workers, either temporary or permanent, or even interns and summer students.
February 24, 2014 – La Coopérative d'intégration francophone de l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard (CIF) is pleased to announce the arrival of Yoan Rousseau, who will be filling the new position of recruitment and welcoming coordinator for temporary Francophone immigrants in PEI.
The CIF is proud to have represented Prince Edward Island’s Acadian and Francophone community during the 10th edition of the Destination Canada job fair. This fair, aimed at Francophone communities outside of Quebec, was held from November 19 to 21, 2013, in Paris and November 23 in Brussels. A total of 3 200 people were selected to take part, based on their skill profile and the job offers at the fair. Prince Edward Island had a delegation of four people: one representing the Bulk Carrier trucking company, two representing the province’s Office of Immigration, Settlement and Population and our provincial coordinator, Jacinthe Lemire.
Jacinthe reports that Prince Edward Island was well represented and attracted several people seeking to immigrate to Canada, namely thanks to the 27 job offers posted by 7 employers. We look forward to welcoming, in the coming months, those who have chosen Prince Edward Island as their new home.
